The Wagah border retreat ceremony  is jointly followed by Indian and Pakistani armies since 1959. Although some take it as a display of rivalry between two nations, it is more of a sign of brotherhood and cooperation.

The ceremony takes place every evening at the Wagah border on the grand trunk road. Blustering parade, rapid dance, and patriotic songs from both sides makes the atmosphere quite intense siring the sense of patriotism.

As the sun sets, the gates of the border are opened, and flags are lowered from both the side. Following the ceremony, the flags are folded and soldiers from both sides shake hands. Visitors from all around the world come to visit the auspicious ceremony.  Visit the place if you want to sense the enthusiasm of nationalism.
