Formerly known as Sajjan Garh Palace, the Monsoon Palace is a hilltop palatial residence in the Udaipur. It was named Sajjan Garh after the name of Maharana Sajjan SIngh of the Mewar Dynasty. This palace was built to watch the Monsoon clouds, therefore it is popularly known as Monsoon Palace. The palace is situated on the top of Bansdara Mountain at the height of 3100 feet. It provides a beautiful view of the sunset, and offers a panoramic view of the city’s major lakes, palaces and buildings. The Monsoon Palace is easily accessible and you can take an auto or a taxi to reach there.

The Monsoon Mahal belongs to the Mewar royal family and has been handed over to the Forest Department of the Government of Rajasthan.
