Rajasthan is the largest state in India by size. The word literally means “the land of Kings“. It is located in the western part of the country which is mostly covered with desert. The capital of this state is Jaipur. Hindi and English language are widely spoken here. The popular dance form of Rajasthan is Ghoomar.

Jaipur is known as the pink city. Some other major cities are Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, Udaipur, and Ajmer. There are several tourist destinations here like Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Monsoon Palace, Mehrangarh fort, Ranthambore national park, Jantar Mantar, etc. You will find museums, fairs, festivals, heritage hotels, etc.

The state talks about Royal and Royalty. It has a historical background where many Rajputs, Mughals kings ruled for a period of time. The glimpse can be seen through the numerous forts and monuments across the state.

The culture of Rajasthan reflects in the colorful attire of people, impressive folk music, different dances, sumptuous cuisine and inviting people. Eat the local dishes like Dal bati churma, Ghevar, Moong dal ka halwa, etc. Another famous thing about Rajasthan is the Royal train which is called Palace on wheels and Royal Rajasthan on wheels. 

The state is dependent on agriculture and pastoral. Some major crops that are grown in this region are tobacco, cotton, pulses, sugarcane, etc. This place has rich salt deposits at Sambhar. You will find camels walking on the sand dunes. The hotels here gives a royal experience and there are many royal architectures around the state. Thar desert is also a famous tourist attraction. This state will take you on a colorful journey.
